Titulo1: Técnicas de Soluções Fundamentais em Problemas Inversos
ABSTRACT: Neste seminário mostramos como o método das soluções fundamentais pode ser utilizado na resolução de problemas inversos, para a localização de fontes ou para a detecção de obstáculos. Estabelecemos ainda outras ligações, nomeadamente entre soluções fundamentais e funções de base radial (RBF).
Título 2: On Inverse Source Problems for Evolution Equations.
ABSTRACT: In the fi rst part of the seminar, we will consider the inverse parabolic problem of finding a Poiseuille flow corresponding to a given flow rate. We show that the flow rate and the axial pressure drop are related by a linear Volterra integral equation of the second type. (This is a joint work with G.P.Galdi and K. Pileckas.) The second part is devoted to the determination of sources in the plate equation. Using exact observability, we show that a source term in this system can be identifi ed by knowing its intensity and appropriate observations which correspond to measurements of some boundary traces. (This is a joint work with Carlos Alves, Tak eo Takahashi and Marius Tucsnak)
