Abstract: This seminar will present the ongoing research under
development at IME on High-Order Numerical Simulations of Compressible
Flows, focussing on low Mach number flows. It will be divided into
four major topics: 1) PIRK (Preconditioned Implicit Runge-Kutta)
Methods for the simulations of high-order unsteady compressible flows;
2) Optimal low Mach preconditioning matrixes for improved efficiency
of preconditioned density-based methods; 3) PTD (Physical-Time
Damping) method for the generation of steady-state solutions and 4)
High-order global boundary conditions for unsteady simulations.
